Tips for choosing frames

  • Your eyes should sit horizontally central within a frame
  • Frames should not sit on / touch your cheeks 
  • Try and ensure the frame colour suits your skin tone 
  • As a general rule choose a frame with a contrasting shape to your face shape. Rounder faces suit squarer frames. Oval face shapes should suit most shapes. 
  • Have fun and be prepared to experiment – there is not a time limit on choosing the right frame for you. 
  • If a frame comes in a different size, try on both to ensure the best fit.

Tips for caring for your glasses / spectacles

  • Always keep your glasses in their case when not being worn 
  • Always take your spectacles off using both hands – this will double the lifespan of your frames
  • Clean lenses are the best way to guarantee good vision
  • Never open the oven door wearing your spectacles - the steam produced on the lenses will damage the protective coating
  • Always use a silk or micro fibre cloth to clean your lenses- this will prevent scratches 
  • To help prevent scratches, never put your glasses on a surface face down 
  • Never use neat washing up liquid to clean your Lenses – this will damage the protective coating
